What you will do:

The Director of Sales, Food Service will be responsible for growing our business at the company’s most important Food Service partners - building the customer relationship, developing sales strategy, supporting private and branded labels, managing a nation broker and facilitating cross-functional collaboration internally. The position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities:

    Accountable for delivering sales and profitability targets for assigned customers by:
  • Developing, and proactively evolving, go-to-market strategies that deliver sales, share and profit growth within Food Service Channel
  • Strategically managing Trade & Shopper Marketing budgets
  • Closely manage pricing, promotions, negotiating terms and product mix to stay within assigned budgets
  • Utilize pre- and post-promotional analysis to develop and implement improved promotional programs and maximize ROI
  • Leverage syndicated and retailer specific data to provide internal and external stakeholders with insights to optimize category and brand performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand and Operations to ensure the “voice of the Food Service operator” is present throughout the new product development process by providing category insights, competitive intel, customer specific requirements and a blueprint for a successful launch
  • Lead, train and build a strong relationship with assigned brokers and Food Service execution partners.
  • Work with Broker partner and CAULIPOWER’s internal team to drive chain account distribution and non-comm contract approval.
  • Regularly report on performance against plan, to include broker performance management/ performance overviews.
  • Establish and/or manage customer & broker specific scorecards to monitor sales progress and identify and close sales gaps
  • Actively participate in industry trade shows and customer shows
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as this role evolves
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Food Service Sales in frozen food
  • Proven and successful sales management track record
  • Must have experience with Food Service operators, distributors. Established relationships with chain and non-comm customer base a plus.
  • Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage and influence key internal & external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings approximately 35% of time

  • Compensation: $135,000-$150,000 base salary (depending on experience) + bonus opportunities
