Accounts Payables Associate
Responsibilities
- Kforce has a client in Arlington, VA that is seeking an Accounts Payables Associate. Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent and responsive customer service to vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries related to accounts payable
- Escalate sensitive or complex issues to management with appropriate context and recommendations
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and receipts for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Process accounts payable invoices efficiently and accurately
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal departments
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reconciliations
- Ensure adherence to AIR's financial policies and procedures
- Support special projects and assignments as needed
- Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of AP experience required
- 2+ years of experience working in a remote environment
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced MS Excel - experience with large data sets
- Demonstrates knowledge of FAR
- Pos and ACH transfers required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
