Senior Life Science - Biotechnology Grant Writer

- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SBIR / Scientific Grant Writer with a strong background in Life Sciences and Biotechnology
- Proven track record of securing grant funding through well-crafted grant proposals
- Key areas of biomedicine include cardiology (arrhythmias, heart failure), neurology (neurodegenerative diseases, neurodevelopmental diseases, pain), oncology or microbiology
- Grant Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals to secure funding of SBIR and other R&D grant applications
- Technical Writing: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for grant applications
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients and project managers to gather necessary technical information and ensure accuracy in grant proposals
- Write Proposal Packages: Write the project narrative, budget justification, biosketches and other peripherals required for the submission based on the requirements of the solicitation
- Requirements:
- PhD degree or equivalent
- Ideally 4+ years of experience in scientific grant writing
- Strong understanding of R&D grants requirements and scientific research in your dedicated field
- Exceptional technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively
- Proficient in conducting funding research and identifying suitable grant opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with grant management software and tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the field of your expertise (preferred)
- Previous success in securing large-scale grants for technology-driven projects (preferred)
