Job Description
The S. Dale High Center at Elizabethtown College is seeking a Managing Director - Capital/York region staff member for the High Center for Nonprofits. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Senior Managing Director - Nonprofit Center in planning, organizing, and implementing services, programs and activities associated with The High Center for Nonprofits. This position is remote with the weekly required meetings on campus at Etown College.

    Job Duties
  • Develop relationships with current and prospective members in this new market. This role also requires attending various industry presentations and networking events to build relationships with prospective members.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for members, prospective members, and community partners in the Capital/York region.
  • Work with the Senior Managing Director to oversee administration and facilitation of peer groups. Assist Senior Managing Director in the evaluation and placement of new peer group members. Responsibilities will include using Salesforce.com to manage group participation and attendance. A peer group coordinator will assist with the administration of these tasks.
  • Attend all High Center events with the purpose of outreach and recruitment of new members. Contact new market prospects and members prior to events to personally encourage their attendance.
  • Work with the Senior Managing Director to conduct Best Practice and Exit Planning surveys.
  • Assist in preparing materials for new market outreach and community partner meetings. Present High Center updates as necessary.
  • Participate in the Center's communications and marketing initiatives. Assist in the coordination of any materials for new markets, e.g. brochures, marketing materials, manuals, educational materials for peer groups, etc.
  • Assist the Program & Member Development Manager on the execution of the annual High Center Business Forum event.
  • Assist the Program & Member Development Manager on content ideas for High Center quarterly newsletter.
  • Assist the Executive Director of the Center, the Directors of Membership Services and volunteers in any required duties.
  • Support the work of the Executive Director with members of the college faculty and staff.
  • Conduct background research as necessary to complete assigned projects.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree plus ten years of experience in leadership and customer relations and proficient with Microsoft®Office Suite.

This position requires a valid driver's license for business travel purposes (individual must have a US driver's license for at least three years; a motor vehicle record check will be run and the incumbent must pass the College's MVR rating system).
