VP, Compliance - Chief Privacy Officer
- Description:
- The Vice President, Compliance & Chief Privacy Officer works directly with all business areas in providing direction and management of corporate compliance and ethics program and privacy, including, but not limited to, HIPAA privacy compliance, compliance with state privacy laws, audits, policy and procedure oversight and creation, training, and ethics management.
- Works closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and Legal Department.
- Responsible for innovative program management of compliance and ethics initiatives that foster an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law.
- Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Juris Doctor preferred but additional experience in Privacy and Compliance may be accepted in lieu of a JD.
- Experience: 10+ years as a leader of HIPAA Privacy and Corporate Compliance and/or Regulatory in a complex health care setting.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess expert knowledge of HIPAA and state privacy laws, along with expertise in implementing regulations and guidance and assessing their applicability within a dynamic environment such as Maxor National Pharmacy Services.
- Ability to “roll up sleeves” and assist with the day-to-day functions of the Compliance Department when needed while maintaining strategic oversight.
- Possess and demonstrate effective cross-functional leadership skills that support the achievement of planned business results.
- Ability to identify needed change and bring resilient leadership across business lines to influence actions consistent with our culture committed to an effective compliance program.
- Successfully lead the implementation and operationalization of initiatives identified to close compliance / oversight gaps or improve compliance programs.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills that serve diverse internal and external audiences and constituencies (clients, marketplace consultants, senior leaders, business partners, regulators, employees at all levels of the organization etc.)
- Combine intellectual agility and marketplace knowledge to identify and build performance metrics designed to reflect adherence with applicable laws, best practices and integrity.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures to serve evolving service capabilities and changing marketplace/regulatory demands.
- Ability to use good judgment and prioritize risk.
