Position Summary
As our Project Manager, Mobile Apps, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our direct-to-consumer (DTC) audio product line, including subscription management, technical performance, and the overall user journey. You'll manage product roadmaps, drive feature enhancements, and collaborate across internal departments to ensure a seamless, high-performing user experience. - Responsibilities and Expertise
- Serve as the primary project manager for iOS and Android audio apps, as well as related web platforms
- Own and enhance the user journey, onboarding experience, and technical performance of the app ecosystem
- Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, and feature rollouts using Asana and Jira
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with marketing, development, e-commerce, and customer care teams
- Collaborate with marketing on in-app promotions, acquisition and retention campaigns, and performance tracking
- Provide content and copywriting support for in-app messaging, marketing emails, and landing pages
- Oversee app performance dashboards, interpret key metrics, and recommend data-driven improvements
- Ensure seamless subscription pricing setup, promotional campaigns, and content entry across platforms
- Perform data entry and content setup in backend systems for web and mobile platforms; gather and organize assets to ensure accurate, high-quality product entries
- Write and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and detailed project plans
- Maintain and improve operational systems, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Stay informed on mobile app trends, project management best practices, and digital innovation
- Supervise third-party vendors and freelancers as needed
- Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Strong project management expertise with proven ability to manage priorities, timelines, and resources
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Asana, Jira, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, Slack, and similar tools
- Familiarity with app platforms, backend systems, and QA testing processes
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile customer journey optimization
- Ability to draft and edit short-form marketing copy using consistent voice and tone
- Analytical thinker with experience interpreting app usage data and KPIs
- Comfortable using AI tools to enhance efficiency and support digital product strategies
- Passion for digital innovation, brand consistency, and DTC growth
- Education and/or Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, ideally in digital products, mobile apps, or e-commerce environments
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with subscription-based products and app platform tools (e.g., App Store Connect, Google Play Console) preferred
- Experience working with external partners, freelancers, or vendors on content, development, or promotional deliverables.
- Marketing or subscription-based product experience preferred.
- Theoretical knowledge typically achieved through a related two-year college experience, such as an associate's degree in communications, marketing or other related field.
