A welcoming school district in Zion, IL is seeking dedicated Elementary Dual Language Teachers fluent in Spanish to join their team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support academic excellence through culturally responsive, bilingual instruction.
- Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in both English and Spanish to support language development and academic achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging bilingual lesson plans aligned with district and state standards
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and celebrates cultural diversity
- Use data-driven instruction to track student progress and differentiate teaching
- Support a rigorous dual language program that promotes biliteracy and academic success for all students
- Qualifications:
- Classload: Elementary Dual Language Teacher (Spanish)
- Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week | Monday–Friday
- Employment Type: W-2 Contract
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Education (K–9) and/or Early Childhood and Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish)
- High oral and written fluency in Spanish
- Understanding of bilingual education programs, instructional strategies, and dual language models
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
