    Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Senior Corporate Accountant to support our General Ledger (GL) accounting operations, with a focus on payroll. This role will be responsible for preparing payroll journal entries, performing account reconciliations, conducting flux analysis, and supporting audit requests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, and brings a proactive mindset to problem-solving while maintaining financial rigor. We have this position open for two locations:
  • Mountain View, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post timely and accurate payroll-related journal entries.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of payroll-related GL accounts.
  • Prepare flux analysis and provide explanations for key variances.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits by compiling necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll accounting.
  • Identify process gaps and propose improvements for payroll accounting efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.

Qualifications & Requirements

    Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification (preferred).
    Experience
  • 4+ years of combined experience in corporate accounting and public accounting.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth or fast-paced company (Must-have).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and payroll accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
