Power BI Report - SharePoint Developer
- Description:
- Power BI Report Developer / SharePoint Developer will play a crucial role in expanding the analytic capabilities of customer’s analytics platform through data analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Performs modifications to, and maintenance of, existing programs and procedures
- Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support Department of Veterans Affairs' analytics and decision-making needs
- Translate complex data sets into comprehensive and impactful visual stories that resonate with stakeholders
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy and decision-making
- Utilize SQL and other relevant technologies to extract, transform, and load data for reporting purposes
- Develop and maintain ETL processes
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure reliability
- Work closely with Senior Team Members to develop data solutions
- Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy
- Stay current with advancements in data analytics, BI tools, and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, and DAX for report development
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Competency working in SharePoint for report development
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes
- Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and compelling manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Experience in developing data-driven solutions and process automation
- Knowledge and practical work experience in data science and analytics
- Ability to develop good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Ability to schedule, organize, and facilitate executive-level virtual meetings
- Ability to self-organize, balance workload, complete tasks on time
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience with VA / US Government Agencies
- Ability to adapt well to a changing and dynamic client environment
- Ability to work nights and weekends (on occasion if needed)
