Internship Start Date/Season: Fall 2025. Start and end dates are flexible to the student's schedule and bespoke credit needs.

Internship Duration: Our internship program runs for 10-14 weeks, typically from early/mid September to mid December.

Time/Days Required: 2-5 days of your choice per week, 10am-6pm ET

Workplace Location Requirement: Our office is based in Weehawken, NJ but we are hybrid and interns are not required to come into the office.

ABOUT OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

  • Our internship program is unpaid for college credit.
  • Interns can be fully remote or hybrid (in-person days are typically Wednesdays across departments).
  • A $15 travel stipend is offered to hybrid students who commute in-person.
  • Our internship program runs for 10-14 weeks, typically from early/mid September to mid December.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applicants must be a college student enrolled in a matriculated program, in pursuit of a degree at an accredited institution.
  • Must be eligible to receive college credit.
  • Must be able to commit to working remotely or on a hybrid schedule from 10am-6pm EST, 2-5 days per week.

PUBLICITY:

  • WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Syndicate seeks an energetic and extremely motivated student to join our PR team. The Public Relations intern will work directly alongside Publicity Directors and Coordinators in the execution of music, comedy, and lifestyle campaigns. Public Relations interns will strategize and collaborate with our in-house PR team to provide clients with digital and print visibility. Our ideal candidate is a team player that brings fresh perspectives to the table, has excellent written and verbal skills, as well as the ability to prioritize while multitasking.

Applicants should be very detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. This individual must have a strong passion for entertainment and pop culture (music in particular).

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone who lives and breathes passion for music, comedy, entertainment, lifestyle trends, and pop-culture
  • Someone who has a finger on the pulse of current social media platforms and trends (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter)
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients, journalists, and other industry professionals
  • Knowledge of entertainment and lifestyle media; print, online, broadcast, and influencers
  • Working knowledge of trends and standards within social media
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • A self-motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn

MARKETING:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Syndicate is seeking passionate, driven students to join our marketing team. Our interns get an in-depth look at marketing campaigns and how to implement them in both the digital and physical media. This position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Market, trend, & influencer research
  • Social media strategy, analytics, and community management
  • Social media scheduling and posting
  • Coordinating street marketing projects
  • Developing marketing client reports
  • Copywriting for social media and marketing initiatives
  • Developing pitch decks for potential clients
  • Developing social media ad campaigns

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Candidates who live and breathe passion for music, comedy, entertainment, lifestyle trends, and pop-culture
  • Finger on the pulse of current social media platforms and trends (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills; strong design skills are a plus
  • A self-motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite & content creation platform of choice (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)?

RADIO PROMOTION:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Syndicate is seeking interns who are passionate, driven, and eager to be a part of our award-winning radio department! We're looking for students who are ready to step into our fast-paced environment and help us perform at the highest level. Those selected for this program will work collaboratively with our college, alternative, non-comm, and loud rock promotion staff. From listening to new releases and contributing to our weekly newsletters to running data and building out radio reports for our clients, our interns are an integral part of our team!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone who lives and breathes a passion for music
  • General knowledge of radio charts & radio formats
  • Comfortable learning new databases and digital platforms; previous use of Squarespace & DISCO is a plus
  • A passion for radio, attending live concerts, and artist development is paramount
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • A self-motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced environment

VIDEO, DESIGN, & CONTENT CREATION:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Syndicate is seeking qualified visual media students to join our dynamic internship program. Our Video, Design, & Content Creation Interns work with our in-house creative designers to brainstorm, strategize, and execute the company's -- and our clients' -- visual design needs. This opportunity is ideal for those who are passionate about digital media and eager to apply their knowledge to the entertainment marketing realm.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Someone who lives and breathes passion for music, comedy, entertainment, lifestyle trends, and pop-culture
  • Someone who has a finger on the pulse of current social media platforms and trends (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter)
  • Strong short-form video editing skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a MUST (Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects)
  • Working knowledge of visual trends and standards within social media
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • A self-motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn
  • Superior attention to detail and capable of working on multiple design projects at a given time
