About the Role
- Provides support for and facilitates the work of the Policy and Design team
- Contributes to the planning and execution of the long-term Policy & Design agenda, with attention to continuous improvement, large-scale redesigns, and organization-driven change.
- Responsible for developing and managing P&D Sharepoint site and other information management structures and protocols.
- Responsible for submitting and tracking P&D change requests.
- Responsible for scheduling P&D team meetings and maintaining meeting minutes and related information. Responsible for scheduling and supporting P&D convened meetings with other teams and departments.
- Responsible for monitoring, responding to, or redirecting P&D IB Answers requests.
- Serves on internal cross-functional teams as needed.
- Supports the P&D team’s work to facilitate the development and implementation of organization-wide policies related to IB’s strategic priorities.
- Facilities and supports the creation of Authorization and Evaluation content, resources and services
- Responsible for monitoring implementation of plans to create or refine P&D content or policy spurred by organizational changes; facilitates development of timelines for such work.
- Responsible for submission of content to MEP, monitoring timeline, organizing query review and resolution and confirming accuracy of final product.
- Responsible for submission of content and requests to PRC and IB public website and confirming accuracy of final product.
- Responsible for initiative requests for communications support, developing timelines, organizing query review and resolution and confirming accuracy of final product
- Responsible for drafting, issuing, and managing process related to requests for feedback on P&D content, policy, and other work.
- Contributes to the initial development of P&D content and resources.
- Contributes to and facilitates collaboration with the PD, PDD, and IBEN teams to conceptualize and develop training and upskilling for P&D-process related IBEN roles.
- Contributes to work with internal IB and outside vendors to ensure that P&D related systems content is accurate, up-to-date, and user friendly, and that system functionality is fit-for-purpose and aligned with IB requirements and services.
- Supports engagement of Policy and Design contractors, IBEs and SMEs
- Support senior managers recruitment of contractors and IBE’s to support P&D work.
- Contribute to oversight of work undertaken by contractors, IBE’s and internal SMEs supporting P&D work by drafting communications, monitoring timelines, facilitating submission and review of their work and confirming accuracy of final product.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in the education sector (teaching or school administration, educational service or product provision, or educational nonprofit program provision)
- Knowledge of one or more IB programmes; MYP or DP knowledge highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IB authorization and/or evaluation processes.
- Experience managing timelines, projects, information, and routine workflows
- Experience in – or ability to develop the skills for– data gathering and analysis to inform the improvement or creation of services or products.
- School-level IB experience with one or more IB programmes, or experience as an IB educator, in one or more authorization- or evaluation related roles, highly desirable.
- Excellent problem solving and analytic and critical thinking abilities
- Strong ability to develop, plan, prioritize and manage initiatives and workflows
