This position as Manager, Contracts supports the Undersea Systems Program Area within the Naval Systems and Sustainment Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).
Primary responsibilities include serving as the Contracts Lead for a robust portfolio of U.S. Government contracts in support of the AN/AQS-20 Mine-Hunting Sonar Portfolio.
In this highly visible role, you'll provide contractual guidance and support to the business, programs and proposal teams and across all phases of the contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
- Lead change management initiatives that recognize and eliminate ambiguities or unauthorized changes that could result in cost overruns, schedule delays, and performance issues.
- Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Manage customer relationships and advise Program Management on Raytheon’s contractual rights and obligations.
- Provide contracts leadership to a cross functional team to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and drive closure on complex contractual matters.
- Ability to adapt to a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication is essential.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience reviewing and drafting various contractual documents, such as Letters, Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Proposals (RFP’s) or similar
- Experience working with U.S. Government acquisition and related regulations, such as FAR, DFARS, and ITAR

- Display an advanced understanding of business relationships and contract structures
- Experience brokering internal and/or external solutions to complex program, contract, or financial problems that have general impact on annual operating plan (AOP) performance
- Advanced degrees
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
