Director of Sustainability - ESG

- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive ESG strategy reflecting the company’s sustainability goals
- Oversee ESG-related reporting and disclosures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and collaborate with external partners to enhance sustainability efforts
- Manage sustainability initiatives to reduce the hotel’s environmental impact
- Integrate sustainability into the guest experience and lead educational campaigns
- Conduct ESG risk assessments and benchmarking of sustainability performance
- Lead, mentor, and build a team of sustainability professionals
- Identify and implement innovative sustainability technologies and practices
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and industry standards specific to the hospitality sector.
- Proven experience in implementing sustainable programs and achieving measurable results.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
- Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry’s role in environmental stewardship.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).
- Strong project management skills and ability to drive cross-functional sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and external partners.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and community organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and sustainability practices within the hospitality industry.
