IT Team Lead - Patient Experience

A nationally ranked health system known for innovation, diversity, and community impact is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to guide a growing team focused on enhancing patient engagement through Epic and other digital platforms across the network

Position is based in the NY area and can be remote with the requirement of coming into the office 4-6 times a year

    RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and mentor a technical team working on Epic (e.g. Ambulatory, Bridges, ClinDoc, MyChart, etc.) and non-Epic patient-facing tools.
  • Design, implement, and support digital health solutions (web, mobile, communication tools).
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to turn user needs into technical solutions.
  • Oversee system integration, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Stay current with digital health trends and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and vendor coordination.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in healthcare IT, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Epic certification in one of the following Ambulatory, Bridges, ClinDoc, MyChart (MyChart certification must be obtained within 3 months).
  • Strong technical skills: APIs, system integration, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, HL7, FHIR, databases.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
    PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of ONC/CMS regulations, TEFCA, and 21st Century Cures Act.
  • Experience with telehealth, mobile apps, or digital front door tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and web server management (IIS, Windows Server).
