Manufacturing Planner (Associate or Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company The Space Launch System (SLS) team is seeking highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Planners to join our team in New Orleans, LA. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including associate and mid-level planners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, manufacturing planning, and production optimization. This role involves working closely with manufacturing engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing planning of products while maintaining high quality standards. Position Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planning. Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibility. Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions. Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiency. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performance. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 2+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support Experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support STEM focused Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Competent in Full-Size Determinate Assembly builds Competent in Model-Based Design Competent in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Competent in MESci Competent in PTC Creo modeling or other CAD software suites NASA Access: This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
