What You'll Be Doing

    Whether you're stepping into an SLPA or SLP role, you'll play a crucial part in improving communication and academic success for K-12 students. Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting or delivering speech-language therapy services per IEP goals
  • Conducting assessments (SLP only) and contributing to eligibility determinations
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective treatment plans
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining documentation
  • Providing individual or group sessions to address speech, language, and communication needs
  • Promoting student confidence and engagement through communication support

Qualifications and Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    For SLPs:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Alaska SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ASHA CCCs preferred, but CFs are encouraged to apply
  • Prior experience in a school setting is a plus
    For SLPAs:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Alaska SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • Supervision by a licensed SLP as required
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
