Role Description

    The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) position is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You’ll help patients through the imaging process and work cross-functionally to support your team with other tasks that expand your knowledge and experience to keep our clinic running smoothly.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings.
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
  • Propose improvements to processes and workflows.
  • Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
  • Perform patient care by taking vitals, patient history and triaging.
  • Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care.
  • Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes, carry out ear lavages and run EKGs.
  • Conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, rapid HIV testing.
  • Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed.
    Qualifications
  • Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience.
  • May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience.
  • Current CRT certificate.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency.
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification.
  • 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
