Job Summary:

An opportunity to be part of an Innovative start up program. The first of its kind in King County. This position offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and development. Valley Cities provides outreach to underserved areas of King County. The goal is to assist individuals who may otherwise not have access to behavioral healthcare.

The Mobile Clinician will function as an integral part of a mobile van clinic dedicated to providing recovery oriented, person-centered care to clients of underserved regions of King County. Provides individual treatment, concentrated support, care management duties and community outreach in community settings. Assess client’s needs as a part of a screening process for access to care. Assessment of clients’ needs, including housing and other social determinants of health. Address barriers to care coordination for physical and mental health treatment and identify strategies for success.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen and assess prospective clients for ongoing mental health and/or substance use treatment.
  • Assist in linkage and referral to appropriate client centered services.
  • Participate in supporting the mission and goals of Valley Cities, including an environment that emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
  • Prioritize recovery, wellness, and Trauma-Informed Care in work with clients and staff.
  • Demonstrate multicultural awareness and emphasize cultural responsiveness in interactions with clients, staff, and the community.
  • Utilize assessment tools to identify client needs, match appropriate interventions, and provide education to clients about treatment options.

Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:
  • Master’s degree in behavioral sciences field required.
  • Washington state licensure as a LMHC(A) or LICSW(A) or LMFT(A), preferred.
  • Substance Use Disorder Professional license preferred.
    Experience:
  • Experience delivering effective mental health interventions to diverse client populations.
  • Experience working with adults with chronic and/or acute mental health needs.
  • Experience working with populations exposed to trauma, chronic poverty, chronic health conditions, homelessness and marginalization, and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
    Other:
  • Pass required background check.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
