Junior Front-End Engineer
Job description
Welcome to Bluegeko: The House of Legends
Bluegeko is a forward-thinking venture capital and development company headquartered in Dubai, with operational hubs in Kyiv and a new presence in San Francisco. We don't just fund visionary ideas—we build them. Our dedicated team of experts transforms innovative concepts into groundbreaking realities across various industries.
Job Overview: We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Front End Engineer eager to grow their skills in creating intuitive, responsive web applications. You'll contribute to translating design concepts into user-friendly interfaces, optimizing performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- What You'll Do:
- Support the development and maintenance of interfaces using React and Symfony (Twig).
- Assist in debugging, optimizing performance, and enhancing user experience.
- Convert Figma designs into adaptive, accessible, and responsive layouts.
- Participate in team discussions, technical planning, and task estimation.
- What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year of experience in front-end development (including personal projects, internships, or freelance).
- Good understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid).
- Familiarity with React (basic hooks, state management, and performance considerations).
- Knowledge of SCSS or CSS Modules.
- Basic awareness of accessibility (a11y) and semantic HTML.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to interpret and implement Figma or Sketch designs.
- Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Strong communication skills in a remote team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with build tools like Webpack or Vite.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.
How We Work: We are a distributed, fully remote team of over 35 professionals. At Bluegeko, we value open communication, proactivity, and genuine work-life balance. Your performance defines your success, not the hours logged.
- What's in It for You:
- 100% remote work with flexible hours.
- 28 business days of paid time off annually.
- Support for professional courses and training.
- English classes and speaking clubs.
- Access to internal educational resources and events.
