Role Overview:
The Retained Search Recruiter will lead and execute search engagements for executive and senior-level roles. This position is ideal for a highly strategic and curious recruiter who thrives in research-driven environments, values relationship-building, and excels in candidate and client engagement.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end execution of retained searches, from kickoff to candidate onboarding
- Partner closely with clients to refine search strategies, role specifications, and talent profiles
- Conduct in-depth market research and talent-mapping across industries and geographies
- Drive sourcing strategies using Boolean search, databases, and professional networks
- Cultivate and maintain deep candidate pipelines through strategic relationship management
- Facilitate screening, assessment, and stakeholder communication throughout search lifecycle
- Deliver high-impact candidate presentations, reports, and insights to clients
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and candidates through critical hiring decisions
- Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience in recruiting, search, or talent acquisition
- Proven success in retained or executive search (agency or in-house)
- Excellent research and analytical skills; strong attention to detail
- Sophisticated communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with CRM/ATS systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build trust across stakeholders
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience recruiting for leadership roles in sectors such as legal, nonprofit, finance, or tech
- Comfort navigating complex hiring landscapes, including international markets
- Understanding of business strategy, organizational design, and industry trends
