About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HCI/HCP Consultant (Data Engineer) to join a long-term federal archiving project with Hitachi Federal. This is a mission-critical role focused on data ingestion, transformation, and storage leveraging Hitachi Content Intelligence (HCI) and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) technologies.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL workflows using HCI
- Create and maintain Data Connectors, Pipelines, Indexes, and Stages within HCI
- Utilize Lucene query syntax for data indexing and retrieval
- Administer and maintain HCP environments including performance tuning and upgrades
- Develop automation and integration scripts using PowerShell and Bash
- Collaborate with stakeholders and apply critical thinking in a customer-facing environment
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the project
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Proficient with Hitachi Content Intelligence (HCI) workflow components
- Experience with Lucene syntax and query design
- Hands-on experience with Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) – architecture and administration
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing environment
- Nice to Have
- Previous experience on federal government projects
- Familiarity with data archiving and compliance standards
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
