BlazerJobs is partnering with NSSEO (Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization) in Arlington Heights, IL to hire a passionate Special Education Teacher for a 4th/5th grade self-contained classroom. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and well-supported environment that prioritizes student success and staff development.
- Position Details
- Start Date: August 2025
- End Date: June 2026
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
- Setting: 4th/5th Grade SPED classroom
- Location: Arlington Heights, IL
- Work Environment: 100% onsite
- Role Highlights
- Teach all core academic subjects to a small group of students (currently 7)
- Classroom supported by a social worker and 2 ESPs (Educational Support Personnel)
- Students attend daily specials (e.g., art, music, PE)
- The therapist (you) will act as IEP case manager, collaborating on behavioral plans and accommodations
- Highly collaborative team focused on holistic support and inclusion
- Requirements
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
- Experience in self-contained or structured SPED classrooms preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with support staff and specialists
- Compensation & Perks
- Weekly pay via W-2
