What You’ll Be Doing
As a Special Education Teacher in Jefferson Parish, you will play a central role in providing students with individualized support tailored to their unique learning needs. Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, modifying instruction, working collaboratively with general education teachers, and monitoring progress toward academic and behavioral goals. You’ll help create an inclusive classroom culture where all students are encouraged to succeed.
Qualifications and Licensure
To qualify, candidates must hold a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement. Classroom experience in K–12 settings is highly preferred. Applicants should be confident in IEP development, instructional differentiation, and positive behavior strategies.
