Description
Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration, coding, healthcare administration or any related field is required or equivalent experience. Minimum seven (5) years healthcare compliance, coding or business office experience required. Extensive experience using MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Access. Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Strong compliance knowledge of federally funded programs and managed care payers required. Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, insurance reimbursement, payment methodologies, Medicare Outlier mechanism, Correct Coding Initiative, UB-04 revenue codes, DRG guidelines, ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT codes, HIPAA regulations and DDE required. Knowledge of UB-04 and HCFA 1500 forms for hospitals and diagnostic facilities preferred. Strong time management skills, managing multiple priorities and a heavy workload in a high-stress atmosphere to meet stringent deadlines. Able to demonstrate flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment with changing work needs. Salary ranges from $77,449.41 - $100,684.23 depending on years of experience.
