Premium Audit Analyst (Workers Compensation)
Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, has an opening for a Premium Audit Analyst. This individual will actively engage in job training to acquire and develop a basic understanding of classification codes and premium audit manual rules for a single jurisdiction in order to complete final premium audits on assigned workers compensation policies, concentrating initially on small workers compensation policies containing few classification codes and states.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting from four-year college or university; or, transferrable premium audit experience; or, sufficient combination of education and experience, required.
LANGUAGE: Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and professional business correspondence. Able to effectively respond to low level audit questions from management, internal and external stakeholders.
MATH ABILITY: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software and able to be proficient in applicable databases, systems, and vendor software programs.
