Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Construction/Trades Background a Plus)

This is a remote, part-time position, ideal for someone with prior experience in or around the handyman, contractor, or construction space who enjoys staying organized, communicating clearly, and managing administrative tasks with professionalism. Flexibility in your daily/monthly tasks is a must as the workload shifts with our slow and busy season.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to customer emails in a timely, professional manner
- Schedule meetings and appointments, coordinate and maintain calendars, and send confirmations
- Serve as a first point of contact for client inquiries and follow-ups; Handle customer contacts with warmth and efficiency
- Create and maintain social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) that reflect our brand and values
- Maintain light admin tasks like tracking leads, managing simple documents, and supporting daily operations; Support the team as needed
- Occasional in-person meetings for team training or social media support as necessary; MUST be located in Rockford IL, and surrounding Stateline region to be considered
- Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in or supporting a handyman, trades, construction, or contractor business
- Comfortable with email, calendar tools, and operating software
- A self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with social media platforms from a business perspective
- Friendly, reliable, and able to manage time effectively working from home
- Self-motivated and resourceful—able to problem-solve and follow through
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Friendly, professional, and proactive in handling customer and team interactions
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Requirements
- Must have a reliable computer with internet access
- Must have an iPhone (required for communication apps we use)
- Available to work 15–20 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling
