Operations Consultant
Role Summary
As an Operations Consultant, you will evaluate, optimize, and enhance operational effectiveness across the organization. This role will focus on identifying inefficiencies, designing scalable systems, and implementing strategic solutions that improve execution, cross-functional alignment, and overall performance. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution, with a proven ability to drive operational transformation in dynamic, multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership with the COO
- Act as a trusted advisor to the COO, supporting enterprise-level decision-making and translating strategic goals into actionable operational plans.
- Lead diagnostic efforts to surface organizational inefficiencies, underperformance, and growth constraints.
- Support leadership alignment, role clarity, and high-priority execution across companies.
Enterprise Audit & Operational Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive audits of business operations, systems, and structures to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and growth barriers.
- Use data-driven analysis to evaluate performance across key areas (e.g., finance, staffing) and recommend improvements.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Recommend and implement new systems, tools, and workflows to improve execution, visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee updates to core business systems (e.g., CRM, financial models, dashboards) to enable more efficient day-to-day operations.
- Standardize key operational practices across business units while allowing for stage-specific flexibility.
Organizational Design & Structural Improvements
- Evaluate current team structures, job roles, and reporting lines; recommend changes to improve accountability and scalability.
- Support talent deployment and leadership development to strengthen operational ownership at all levels.
- Advise on structural shifts to better align capabilities with business priorities.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Refine financial reporting practices and design performance dashboards to increase transparency and support strategic planning.
- Establish KPI frameworks and execution rhythms (e.g., weekly reviews, QBRs) to drive focus and accountability across functions.
Project Leadership & Implementation
- Lead the execution of key transformation projects, from initial scoping through to delivery and performance tracking.
- Align stakeholders, define success metrics, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Ensure initiatives are implemented sustainably, with documentation, training, and handoffs built in.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in operational leadership or consulting roles, preferably with exposure to multi-entity organizations or founder-led businesses.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data and financial reports to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
- Proven experience conducting organizational audits and operational assessments, identifying gaps, and recommending scalable solutions.
- Expertise in optimizing systems and processes, including CRM, financial modeling, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience evaluating and improving organizational structures, job roles, and leadership effectiveness.
- Track record of leading complex projects from inception to completion, managing cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in key business systems such as CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, GHL, HubSpot), financial software (e.g., NetSuite, QBO), project management tools (e.g., ClickUp), and data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within multi-entity organizational structures.
- Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-wide operational transformations and change management initiatives.
