Overview
The Instructional Coach, Mathematics (9–12) will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the fidelity of Tier 2 mathematics instruction in high school classrooms. This position will primarily focus on aligning intervention strategies with STAAR standards, coaching teachers in effective instructional practices, and utilizing student data to design targeted follow-up instruction. The coach will be able to provide ongoing feedback, model best practices, and collaborate with teachers to improve student outcomes through consistent, data-driven Tier 2 interventions.
- Essential Duties
- Ensure Tier 2 Instruction is Aligned and Implemented with Fidelity
- * Support Tier 2 teachers in aligning instruction with STAAR standards and ensure consistent, high-quality implementation across teachers .
- Coach and Support Effective Instructional Strategies
- * Work directly with Tier 2 teachers to identify, observe, and promote the most effective instructional strategies for intervention.
- Provide Ongoing Feedback and Model Best Practices
- * Conduct regular teacher observations, provide actionable feedback, and model evidence-based strategies to support teacher growth and instructional effectiveness.
- Monitor and Analyze Student Progress
- * Track student performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of Tier 2 instruction and identify students not making adequate progress.
- Design and Support Targeted Follow-Up Instruction
- * Collaborate with teachers to create and implement follow-up instructional plans and activities that address specific skill deficits identified through progress monitoring.
- Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- At least 3-5 years of successful mathematics classroom teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of Tier 2 intervention instructional strategies and assessment tools
- Proficiency in analyzing student performance data to guide instruction and interventions
- Ability to provide constructive, non-evaluative feedback and model effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers and leadership
- Experience designing or supporting targeted follow-up instruction based on student needs
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and using data to track student growth
- Organizational skills to manage coaching schedules, observations, and follow-up support
- Competency in educational technology tools for instruction and data management
- Experience supporting or coaching teachers, especially in Tier 2 intervention settings (preferred)
- Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required
- A valid Texas teaching certificate (with an endorsement in Mathematics, Grades 7-12).
- Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field would be preferred.

46,000 - 58,000 USD per year(Remote (Texas, US))
