As a Specialized Marine Travel Consultant, you’ll join our highly skilled remote team, providing outstanding service to our Marine corporate business clients.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
• Act as the point of sale on all Domestic & International travel requirements, arranging both routine and complex travel for air, rail, car, and Hotel accommodation, utilizing the AMADEUS Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What We’re Looking For
• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
• Detailed understanding of fares and ticketing rules, including marine fares, and ticketing rules, as well as car, air, hotel travel
• Extensive International Knowledge
• High proficiency in Amadeus
• Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency while maintaining a professional rapport and multi-task, accepting, and adapting to change quickly and professionally
• Professional communication (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Possess a strong understanding of the travel industry with a background in business travel, & Knowledge of Marine fare qualifications, rules and booking process
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

Hours: Monday-Sunday with the flexibility to work between 8am - 8pm ET

The US national hourly wage range for this position is from $20.00 to $35.00 per hour. The national range provided includes the hourly rate that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual hourly wage rate will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
