As a Compliance Officer, you will be at the intersection of law and technology. You will develop, maintain, and refine the automated compliance logic that powers our platform. This requires a blend of legal knowledge, analytical thinking, and a strong affinity for technology to translate intricate international regulations into automated rules that deliver accurate, actionable assessments to our clients!

WorkFlex is a B2B SaaS platform that enables employers to allow their employees to work from anywhere without facing any compliance risks. We have 500+ clients using WorkFlex already, including Scout24, Biontech, Vodafone, Flix, and others. Together with the team, you will contribute to growing our team, clients, and ARR.

What you will do

  • Automate Compliance Logic: Build, maintain, and optimize legal rules in our platform to generate automated high-level compliance assessments.
  • Simplify Complex Regulations: Decode labour law, tax, social security, and data protection rules into clear, executable logic for tech implementation.
  • Optimize Existing Logic: Audit and refine automated rules for accuracy, simplicity, and granularity.
  • Global Compliance Vigilance: Monitor international regulatory changes and update logic to ensure real-time conformity.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain data banks, procedures, and documentation to support scalable operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Tech, Product, and Ops Teams to align logic with user needs.
  • Accountability: Own end-to-end task execution with proactive problem-solving in a dynamic startup environment.

⭐ What you need to succeed

  • Fluency in English (German is a strong plus)
  • Relevant legal experience, ideally in areas like labour law, corporate/wage tax, social security, or data protection.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and a genuine affinity for technology and ease in navigating new software/platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - with the ability to clarify complex requirements and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • High attention to detail with outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
  • A passion for working in multicultural, international teams with a strong tech affinity.
  • Open-minded and flexible approach to integrating legal expertise with innovative technology solutions.
