TITLE: Director, Events Marketing

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Director – Events Marketing serves as a strategic leader within Duck Creek Technologies’ Global Marketing organization reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role is accountable for the strategy, execution, and optimization of internal and external marketing events that accelerate pipeline growth, increase market share, and support sales performance across global regions. Functioning as a key business partner to Sales, Product, and Marketing leadership, this position drives measurable impact by developing and overseeing multi-channel demand generation campaigns through events that are aligned to company priorities. The Director leads and manages a team of events & marketing professionals and works cross-functionally to ensure consistent performance tracking, ROI analysis, and innovation across the marketing function.

  • Leads the development, execution, and optimization of global marketing events to meet pipeline and revenue goals

  • Aligns with Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Management to build integrated marketing strategies targeting priority markets, personas, and industries at each event

  • Oversees the annual user conferences, sales kickoffs and partnership events (Formation, GKO, Partner Summit)

  • Oversees annual and quarterly planning of events, ensuring alignment with revenue targets, account strategies, and global go-to-market motions

  • Establishes and communicates KPIs to track marketing contribution to pipeline growth, conversion rates, ROI, and campaign effectiveness

  • Manages a team of event marketers, providing coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development support

  • Builds and maintains an operational framework that supports global scalability, campaign automation, and field marketing alignment

  • Identifies and implements new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance targeting, engagement, and reporting

  • Collaborates with content, digital, events, and partner marketing teams to deliver consistent and cohesive campaign execution

  • Analyzes marketing performance data to drive continuous improvement and inform future planning and investment

  • Partners with sales leadership to understand funnel dynamics and align demand gen activities with pipeline needs

  • Monitors market trends and competitor activity to inform campaign strategy and differentiate Duck Creek’s positioning

  • Promotes a culture of high performance, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration within the demand gen team and across the broader organization

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Bachelor’sDegree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant focus on demand generationand event marketing

  • 5+ years of supervisory and strategic leadership experience, including team development and performance management

  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or insurance technology

  • Experience managing multi-channel programs across digital, events, ABM, and email marketing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred

  • Preferred experience with modern marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Cvent, Swoogo, Pardot, HubSpot, Salesforce, ABM platforms, etc.) to streamline processes and analyze event success metrics and attendee feedback.

  • Broad understanding of best practices in events both in person, digital and hybrid

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset with ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans

  • Advanced knowledge of demand generation best practices, funnel metrics, and pipeline management

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams

  • Expertise in building cross-functional relationships and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Skilled in budget planning, campaign ROI tracking, and performance optimization

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Data-driven decision-maker with proficiency in marketing analytics tools

  • Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and reporting on key marketing results

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing approaches

  • Adept at driving marketing and sales alignment to improve lead quality and conversion

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, global environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-oriented and customer-focused

  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW:

Travel: 25%

Location: Remote US

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of job location. The Company does not sponsor visa petitions for this position.

Duck Creek Technologies supports a flexible-first work environment and has employees throughout the United States. Based on a fair and equitable compensation philosophy, we have five (5) United States pay markets based on regional validated survey market data. The expected salary range for this position is between $117,500 and $189,500.This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. The final compensation may vary due to the above listed factors and be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
