Tech News Writer – Certification & Industry Coverage
We’re looking for a freelance writer to help us cover breaking news in the IT certification space. You’ll write brief, timely blog posts (300–800 words) about certification updates, industry trends, and vendor announcements from companies like Microsoft, Cisco, and CompTIA.
What You’ll Do:
- Write clear, concise, and accurate news-style blog posts
- Cover changes to certification exams, including launches, retirements, and rebrands
- Monitor vendor newsrooms, tech blogs, and forums for timely story leads
- Pitch relevant ideas and deliver posts with quick turnaround (24–72 hours)
- Follow our brand voice: professional, helpful, and approachable

Ideal Candidate:
- Can write quickly and clearly for a technical audience
- Understands the IT certification landscape (CompTIA, Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, etc.)
- Has experience writing news-style, blog, or tech content
- Is comfortable working on tight deadlines
Rate:
$125 per article (300–800 words)
Higher rates available for more complex, lengthier or rushed assignments.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Familiarity with vendor updates and cert changes (e.g., CCNA, CASP+, AZ-900)
- Experience writing for IT pros or tech learners
- A background in IT, cybersecurity, or tech education
