Part Time BaSICS Program Lead Facilitator
- *Overview:** The Coping and Regulation of Environment Stress (CaRES) Lab, directed by Dr. Martha Wadsworth in the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State University, invites applications for multiple Part Time BaSICS Program Lead Facilitators in the Harrisburg/Hershey, PA area. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a NIMH-funded study, investigating the efficacy of the Building a Strong Identity and Coping Skills (BaSICS) program, which is a group-based, team-building coping and empowerment intervention developed specifically to meet the needs of youth growing up in poverty. **Responsibilities:**
- Lead in the delivery of a structured curriculum
- Set up and prepare materials for BaSICS program
- Manage intervention data
- Manage communication with parents of participants
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement
- Actively engage with schools and/or community organizations
- Attend weekly team meetings
- *Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in clinical psychology or a related field of study
- Interest in or experience in social science research or professional experience working with children and families within the community
- Ability to problem-solve and reflect on performance
- Exemplary organizational and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially for working with youth
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
