Health Coach Remote

AT A GLANCE

Using the highest standards of customer service, you will be a phone-based Coach who supports people in their stop-smoking and/or vaping process. Coaches are trained in the Quit for Life model, honed over 30 years of evidence-based success, utilizing participant-focused interventions, as well as behavior change models to impact participants to quit tobacco and/or vaping products.

What You'll Do
• Coaches are trained in the Quit for Life model and will assist participants in creating individualized action plans over the phone, Secure Messaging (emails), Chat, or text in making successful life changes with quitting tobacco and/or vaping products.
• Coaches will spend approximately 7 hours a day on the phone (completing about 2.5 calls per hour) talking, chatting, or texting with participants in the Quit for Life Program both inbound and outbound.
• Adapt telephonic/chat coaching and education methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of each client.
• Coaches apply excellent active listening skills and demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Coaches demonstrate high attention to detail.
• Demonstrate dependability and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrate ability to manage various technologies, simultaneously.

What We're Looking For
• Undergraduate degree; preferably in health education, sociology, psychology, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in PC-based word processing and database documentation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook) with the ability to navigate multiple applications, send emails, and perform data entry.
• Prior work experience in direct behavior change education and/or behavior change services, coaching/counseling, chemical dependency counseling or health education.
• Bilingual with English and Spanish, preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate insight into human behavior and to communicate and interact with compassion, adjust communication skills to meet the needs of individuals at varying levels of education and socioeconomic status.
• Willingness to receive feedback, teach, learn and be open to new and innovative ways of delivering prevention intervention services.
• You must have a dedicated, HIPAA compliant workspace, free of distractions as you will be providing interventions to members. While this is a remote position, it is a structured position, with limited downtime, pre-scheduled breaks, lunches and meetings to support the needs of the business.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as your permanent shift.

Shift Start/End Time: Comfortable working an 8-hour shift with at least 1 weekend day; evening shifts to be covered. This role requires holiday coverage.

Shifts run Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday- Thursday. Shift times vary and are first come first serve upon offer signing. Schedules operate on Pacific time.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
• Hourly Rate: $27.00 - $29.00
