Principal Solutions Architect Aviation, Project Kuiper Mobility Team

Project Kuiper is looking for experienced and creative leaders to drive adoption of Kuiper broadband solutions in aviation

    Key job responsibilities
  • tBe the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and service capabilities.
  • tIncubate and launch new solutions to enable customer use cases.
  • tUnderstand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the product management and engineering teams to guide the direction of our product offerings and evolution.
  • tBe creative to help solve technical and commercial blockers and develop new product offerings.
  • tEarn trust with customers with transparency and subject matter expertise
  • tSupport strategic business development and contribute to pricing and deal negotiation
  • tFocus on complex deals and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
  • tCreate and capture best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts)

About the team

This role is in the Kuiper B2B Business Development team which is responsible for fostering the adoption of Kuiper services in enterprise, mobility, and telco segments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of In-Flight Connectivity targeting commercial and/or business aviation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java or equivalent
  • Should have had experience in taking aviation connectivity products and services from concept to in-service

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
