Material Handler I - $22.16/Hr, M-F, 2nd Shift: 2pm - 10pm; 3rd Shift: 10pm -6am
Position: Material Handler I Wage: $22.16/hr Shift: 2nd: 2pm - 10pm; 10pm -6am Shift Differential: 2nd shift: $0.75/hr; 3rd shift: $1.25/hr Location: Franklin Park, IL Reports to: Production Supervisor While reporting to the production supervisor, you will be responsible for the flow of raw material, finished goods, and work in progress material within the Thermoforming Department. Safety is our first concern, and the team is expected to comply with all safety rules & regulations. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success and be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Load and unload incoming and outgoing Materials and Products • Conduct Roll splice operations • Change and Empty Gaylords • Transport Gaylords to Staging Area • Comply with Plant Safety Rules and Guidelines • Inspect Regrind for Contamination (Large Chunks, PVC Mixture) Correctly label materials, drain cyclones and ensure that they do not back up into the socks, drain socks when needed, spot rolls into roll carts. • Operate the Tugs • You will need to able to lift up 50lbs as needed • Demonstrate knowledge of raw material types • To succeed in this role, you will need to have good written and communication skills. • Must be willing to work outside of regular shift hours including weekends if production or customer demands require it. • Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment. • Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks. • Perform all duties as designated by Supervisor/ Manager/ Lead.
