Role:
The Marketing Strategist is responsible for driving marketing strategies using data and insights, tracking and analyzing campaign performance, and maximizing the value of external marketing/data partnerships. The candidate will execute data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing and analyzing data sets to turn data into actionable insights for the marketing department and organization. The candidate will conduct studies, gather and analyze data from various databases and sources. The successful candidate will develop reports, summaries, recommendations, and visual representations of data gathering and analysis to support further business data analysis and to create efficiencies. The candidate will ensure adherence to data management regulations, policies, and compliance directives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% - Driving marketing strategies using available data and working with Marketing Team and external vendors to determine KPIs and track results of strategies. Present opportunities to Marketing Manager, Marketing Team and other key stakeholders.
20% - Reporting from data sources including core systems, survey programs, etc to help drive marketing strategy. This will include monthly reporting, queries, mailing/email lists and so forth. This will also include tasks related to ongoing reporting, projects, or one time needs and requests.
20% - Creating targeted campaigns in marketing platforms to reach credit union goals.
20% - Tracking KPIs, results, and ROI on all promotions and projects. Develop and maintain dashboards to track results. Reporting and presenting of KPIs and ROI on marketing promotions and campaigns to Marketing Manager, Marketing Team, and other key stakeholders. This also includes strong data verification skills to ensure integrity of data and results. Work with internal technology team and external partners to ensure proper data integration and tracking.
20% - Other duties as assigned. Flexibility and the ability to problem solve and analyze data is important to this position. New data sources and programs become available, and this position will include learning about the data and how it will benefit the credit union and our members. Identify additional ways to use data that is currently underutilized. This will also include marketing research and continuous learning to help the credit union best serve the needs of our members through data driven strategies.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills:
Proficient in the use of MS suite of software.
Strong customer service skills and a willingness to assist others.
Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization and with all levels of technical competency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to think critically and comprehend and document issues and gather beneficial information to assist and expedite programming solutions.
Individual must be able to work both independently and in a group setting while keeping management up to date with current statuses.
Work Environment: Work is primarily conducted in the office with flexibility for occasional remote work.
