What You'll Do:

Support increased loan production of Production staff (Business Development Officer-herein referenced as "BDO", Team Leads and Sales Director) by facilitating timely review and processing of new potential loan applications to ascertain credit worthiness and eligibility requirements. The primary function of the BDC is to facilitate and enhance the Sales Process for internal and external customers alike. This will include but is not limited to: effective communication with BDO and/or applicant to ensure all items needed to submit the application are obtained; ensure the application package is complete and accurate; order and review reports; data entry into appropriate systems and communicate with Production, Credit, and Closing to manage efficient flow of information throughout the loan origination process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensures responsibilities below are carried out in compliance with all applicable SBA, Federal, & State regulations, VelocitySBA policies & procedures, and to ensure audit, compliance, and regulatory findings related to specific areas of responsibility resolved timely in accordance with managements' approved action plan.
• Maintains strong working knowledge of all applicable VelocitySBA Policies and Procedures directly or indirectly related to areas of responsibility and ensures policy requirements are carried out.
• Provide highest level of customer service, both internally and externally, maintaining highest level of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
• Develops list of items needed to complete an assessment of credit worthiness and SBA eligibility of the loan request. Facilitate transfer of information (written and verbal) between multiple groups, keeping track of items received and those still needed.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns and relevant data provided by a potential applicant to make recommendations as to additional items needed and review for accuracy, addressing all obvious credit issues with BDO.
• Review Pre-Qual Spreads, Loan Summary and Proposal Letter for consistency to ensure information is accurately summarized and represents the business and the request for credit.
• Responsible for submitting a complete and accurate loan application package to the credit center across all origination platforms.
• Responsible for working with multiple parties to ensure information is obtained/received at various stages throughout the loan process, and assisting with ordering appraisals and environmental reports, as applicable.
• Oversee multiple transactions concurrently to ensure all active loan applications are moving forward and current status is reported on the Pipeline Report.
• Maintain a working knowledge of VelocitySBA's written policies and procedures regarding Regulation B, Bank Secrecy Act, Bank Security and all other regulations applicable to this job description.
• Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters VelocitySBA corporate culture in all actions and words.

• May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer expectations.
• Strong credit and credit quality review skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis experience.
• Proficient with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel
• Demonstrate articulate written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess excellent organization skills.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills to navigate high demands and tight timelines.
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of SBA Policy and Procedures.

Compensation:
• $90,000-$95,000/yr base salary based on experience and qualifications
• Plus Bonus Incentive

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to pass post offer drug test
