We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic services to individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. This role requires a clinician committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their feelings and develop effective coping strategies in an outpatient setting that reflects the agency's mission.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients of all ages, addressing various mental health issues.
- Conduct thorough assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in managing symptoms and improving their overall mental health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to provide holistic care and to make appropriate referrals, both internally to Targeted Case Managers and Peer Support Specialists, and to external community partners.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision and continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with additional resources as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in line with professional guidelines.
- Remain in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, including all the agencies’ policies and procedures, Quality Assurance Plan, and State Licensing standards.
- Participate in all assigned meetings, staff development, and training as required.
- Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure as a CSW (Clinical Social Worker), LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate), MFTA (Marriage and Family Therapist Associate), or equivalent.
- Experience providing therapy to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
- Strong understanding of various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- At least 1 year of addictions counseling and/or mental health counseling
