Position Summary

We are hiring Professional Supervised Visitation Monitors to oversee court-ordered family visitations in Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties.

This is a flexible Independent Contractor role. You set your availability and preferred coverage areas based on court orders and family needs.

    Typical visitation windows:
  • Weekdays: Flexible hours usually between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Weekends: Flexible hours usually between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Visit locations often include: homes, parks, libraries, malls, and community centers.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Visitations: Ensure child safety and adherence to court mandates.
  • Remain Neutral: Maintain objectivity and professionalism at all times.
  • Document Visits: Submit detailed, timely observation reports.
  • Report Concerns: Flag any suspected abuse, neglect, or court order violations.
  • Coordinate Exchanges: Facilitate smooth and safe custody transfers.
  • Participate in Reviews: Attend monthly case reviews with the Program Director.
  • Collaborate: Work with legal, social service, and behavioral health professionals.
  • Court Testimony: Provide factual testimony when required.
    Required Qualifications
  • Age 21 or older at the time of hire
  • Must pass criminal background checks and register with TrustLine
  • Completion of:
  • 24-hour Professional Supervised Visitation Provider Training (Standard 5.20)
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if transporting)
  • No DUI in past 5 years; no parole/probation in past 10 years
  • No convictions related to child abuse, molestation, or similar offenses
  • No active or recent restraining orders (within 10 years)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the participant’s language or through a neutral interpreter
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in social work, child welfare, or family services
  • Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care practices
  • Bilingual or multilingual fluency
    Additional Requirements
  • Comfortable entering private homes and varied environments
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseloads independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Access to a computer and standard office equipment
  • Willingness to travel locally
