Senior Consultant - Intercultural Language (US Based Remote)
Description:
The Senior Language Network Specialist serves as a team leader for the Language Network Specialist team, overseeing daily operations and executing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and the quality of language services.Provide support and act as a delegate for the Global Manager, Language Partner Network.Offer feedback on systems and processes, recommending improvements where appropriate.Lead global projects to enhance Language Network Specialist (LNS) operations.Support regional language teams as needed.Lead cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency, trainer performance, and service quality.Mentor and train new and existing team members on best practices and evolving processes.Contribute to departmental planning, process innovation, and global strategy alignment.Manage the relationship with the Professional Employment Organization (PEO) for trainers in specific U.S. states.Liaise with XcelHR and Cartus management to ensure compliance with employment standards.Guide the team on managing issues related to employed trainers.Oversee trainer billing audits and ensure adherence to state laws and internal processes.Analyze program volume and forecast trainer and school needs.Conduct research on locations, language schools, and internal trainer networks to meet program requirements within ILS timelines.Lead, develop, and implement recruitment strategies for freelance trainers and partner schools.Source candidates through databases, social media, and other channels.Conduct interviews and assess candidates for specific program needs.Accelerate hiring to support upcoming language programs.Support RFI and RFP processes.Onboard trainers and schools into the Cartus Global Trainer Network.Maintain the global trainer and partner school database.Maintain and strengthen relationships with top-performing trainers and partner schools globally.Ensure new trainers and schools complete required training and coach trainers and school representatives on Cartus quality standards and procedures.Collaborate with Product Development on curriculum design and material selection.Analyze QA feedback and lead coaching initiatives to address skill gaps and improve teaching methodologies.Conduct regular performance reviews, fees, and strategic evaluations of trainer and school partners.Design and build dashboards in collaboration with reporting teams.Share updates, statistics, and news about the trainer network with the broader Cartus team.Act as a subject matter expert on language services internally and externally.Analyze and act on DLS reports, including customer activity and utilization.Identify and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and streamline processes.Represent Cartus and ILS at networking and industry events.Maintain and update the DLS platform.Manage special projects and provide coverage for colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Modern Languages, International Studies, Education, or related fields.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in language training, recruitment, or learning and development.Experience managing global or virtual teams is highly desirable.Proficiency in at least one second language.1+ year of international living or cross-cultural experience.Personnel management experience is a plus.
