Description
CBG Surveying is seeking a Land Survey Researcher, Remote work option, but must be located in or around the Smith County, TX area and must be able to drive to local area County and Courthouse offices, ideal candidate located in Tyler, TX or neighboring cities. The Researcher’s responsibility is to provide the best, correct, or most complete information necessary for retracing a common boundary and meeting the client’s expectations. The Researcher is required to put out good quality work not just quantity in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Operates personal computer to access e-mail and other basic office support software.
· Responsible for researching all new orders and quote requests placed before 4pm daily.
· Pulling the following documents for each order: property appraiser card, deed, plat, tax maps, flood information and easements on the title commitment etc.
· Responsible for the review of all due dates, prices and notes in each order filing.
· Entering orders as needed

Requirements
· Must have County & Courthouse document retrieval experience.
· Must have reliable transportation for ongoing document retrieval, picking up documents from counties surrounding the ETX area and research orders online with the research team.
· High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree, preferably in Business or related field preferred).
· Must have Real Estate Title search experience.
· Must have deed and plat research experience.
· Must have court house research experience.
· Comfortable with database management tools.
· Strong time management, follow-through and organizational skills.
· Solid business writing skills and verbal communication skills including appropriate tact in communicating with employees, clients, vendors and other business partners.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
· Experience in researching title, commercial, metes & bounds, topographical, save & except and elevation certificates is a plus.
· Experience in pulling and reading property appraiser card, deed, plat, tax maps, flood information and easements on the title commitment.
