This academic transition program includes exposing students to subjects such as pre-calculus/calculus, chemistry, metacognition and research. Participants also learn critical team building skills through engaging in a 6-week robotics competition and gain valuable professional development through weekly enrichment sessions. Each of these program components are fortified by rising second year student mentors, who work in the capacity of program assistants. CEOI is seeking enthusiastic program coordinators to support various aspects of the summer bridge program./pp/ppPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/pp· Providing general logistics support prior, during and post 6-week program./pp· Leading coordination of logistics for/management of program assistants, including their training./pp· Coordinating enrichment activities for summer bridge program participants./pp· Engaging with program assistants and participants during evening review sessions and community building activities./pp· Communicating with faculty and other stakeholders./pp· Attending weekly meetings to discuss planned activities, participant progress and provide program feedback./pp· Assisting summer bridge program administrators with tasks as needed./pp/ppQualifications:/pp· Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university./pp· Knowledgeable about resources on campus (both academic and social)./pp· Knowledgeable about or experience working with undergraduate students./pp· Understanding of collaborative projects and the ability to encourage group work./pp· Possess student development event / programming skills./pp· Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written)./pp· Sharp organizational skills./pp· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment./pp· Ability to maintain professionalism and act as a role model for students./pp/ppPlease note: this is a limited term summer position for graduate students anticipated to run through August 8. Hours for the position vary based upon the needs of the program, including some weekend and evening hours.
