Senior Family Strengthening Researcher
The Workforce Innovations, Emergency Preparedness and Poverty Solutions (WIPPS) practice works to improve the conditions of America's most at-risk populations. Our team provides rigorous technical assistance, training, and research support to address a diverse set of critical social issue areas including employment and workforce programs, health care emergency preparedness and critical infrastructure protection and planning, economic mobility, food security and fatherhood and family strengthening initiatives. Our work is done in a professional, collegial, and intellectual environment that allows individuals the latitude they need to perform work that parallels their passions.
- We are seeking a SENIOR FAMILY STRENGTHENING RESEARCHER to join our economic mobility and family strengthening practice. In this role, you will contribute to projects that promote positive outcomes for vulnerable families. Areas of responsibility may include:
- Design, lead, and/or manage research projects focused on healthy relationships, responsible parenting, positive youth development, intimate partner violence, child support, and related topics.
- Advise research and/or technical assistance teams focused on family strengthening and related projects across the practice.
- Contribute to identification of opportunities and development of a robust pipeline of opportunities in family strengthening; lead/manage proposals and/or contribute to technical solutions.
- Serve as a thought leader and partner in advancing ICF's objectives to promote economically mobile, strong, and secure families.
- Basic Skills/Experience Required:
- PhD or equivalent in sociology, demography, or related social science subject.
- 20+ years of experience in family strengthening research.
- Minimum 12 years in the government consulting environment with specific emphasis on family strengthening.

- Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations and technical writing.
- Capacity for a fast-paced, matrixed environment; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$107,936.00 - $183,491.00
