THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION.

Job Purpose:

Provide first level support in a 24 x 7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The position requires monitoring of system, network and application elements to ensure service levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:
  • Provide 1st level operations support for all Aventiv production systems
  • Provide escalation assistance to level 1 technicians as required
  • Perform proper trouble ticket entry and administration
  • Adhere to escalation procedures and NOC processes
  • Interact with internal and external customers to resolve trouble reports
  • Escalate trouble reports internally and to vendors/service providers when appropriate
  • Communicate with internal and external customers during outage events or in response to trouble reports and inquiries
  • Assume additional NOC responsibilities as needed in the event of unavailable NOC personnel, service outage or other emergency situations
  • Perform related duties as assigned
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Experience in a NOC environment or similar IT support role.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays. Punctuality and dependability are required.
  • Utilize time management skills to complete multiple projects/tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Provide strong communications skills and analytical aptitude with the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbal and in written form.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of management.
    Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years Network Operations or IT Industry experience
  • Experienced with using and configuring network and application monitoring tools
  • First level network and/or first level server support experience
  • Understanding of enterprise class environments and services
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study.
  • Linux+ or LPI, Microsoft MTA, AWS, Cisco, or other Industry certifications
  • Intermediate experience utilizing and configuring Solarwinds Orion
  • User level experience with New Relic or similar Application Performance Monitors
    Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
