Education Abroad Intern (Student Wage) - Part-time
p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ppThe International Studies Office will select undergraduate student interns to work in the Education Abroad division for the 2025-26 academic year. Interns serve as a resource for other UVA students by supporting the Education Abroad Advisors and assisting with events and activities./pp/ppInterns will play a large role in outreach and marketing for education abroad, including, but not limited to:/pulliEvent support, including preparation and implementation for major events like Education Abroad Fairs/liliPresentations to various groups throughout the UVA community (e.g., academic classes, CIOs, Greek chapters, residence halls, etc.)/liliSupporting walk-in and phone traffic at International Studies Office front desk/liliHolding regular peer advising hours/liliDeveloping resources and programming for students interested in education abroad (e.g., Global Week event, student-led pre-departure information session, etc.)/liliAdministrative support for Education Abroad team/liliCreating and posting flyers, chalking, and painting/liliContributing to UVA Education Abroad social media channels/liliTabling/liliOther duties and projects as assigned/li/ulp/ppThrough their work, interns will be able to build skills in critical thinking, problem solving, oral and written communication, public speaking, digital technology, and professionalism./pp/ppPrevious experience with education abroad at UVA is required./pp/ppInterns will be expected to work 10-15 hours per week at a rate of $15.25/hour. Interns work a hybrid schedule with regular time in the International Studies Office (208 Minor Hall, Charlottesville VA 22904), some remote work, and at events around Grounds.
