Sales Development Representative (Contract-to-Hire) Focus: Nonprofit Branding, Fundraising & Digital Strategy

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-07-27

About Antarctic

Antarctic is a design-driven creative agency that helps nonprofits, cultural institutions, and social impact organizations grow through branding, web design, and digital campaigns. Based in Brooklyn, we collaborate with mission-aligned organizations to elevate their stories and build experiences that drive impact. Our work is rooted in clarity, aesthetic excellence, and a belief in design as a tool for change.

We’re looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join us on a contract-to-hire basis. You’ll help us grow our client base by identifying and connecting with nonprofit leaders who value creativity and strategic thinking. If you’ve sold creative services before and thrive in thoughtful, high-standard environments, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

As an SDR at Antarctic, you'll take ownership of outbound lead generation, strategic prospecting, and early-stage sales conversations. You'll work closely with our founder and project team to identify high-quality opportunities, attend industry events, and support RFP responses that reflect our creative standards.

The goal of this role is to help build the business development department from the ground up—laying the foundation for a smart, scalable approach to growth. You’ll be a key partner to the founder in shaping how we identify, qualify, and win work with the right nonprofit clients.

This is a 3–6 month contract role, with the goal of transitioning to a full-time position based on performance and fit.

Responsibilities

    Outbound Sales & Prospecting
  • Research and identify nonprofits, cultural institutions, and mission-driven organizations that align with our studio’s work.
  • Execute targeted outreach using email sequences, LinkedIn, and phone—refining messaging and cadence in collaboration with our team.
  • Use our outbound sequencing tools and CRM (HubSpot) to track activity and pipeline development.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and schedule discovery calls for the senior team.
    RFP & Proposal Development
  • Work closely with the founder and project team to assess fit, manage timelines, and contribute to compelling, well-designed proposals.
  • Maintain internal proposal resources, templates, and trackers.
    Conferences & Networking
  • Represent Antarctic at select nonprofit industry events and conferences (in-person and virtual).
  • Build relationships with prospective clients, partners, and collaborators.
  • Help shape the studio’s visibility strategy within the nonprofit and social impact sectors.
    What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition at a creative agency, digital studio, or consultancy.
  • Proven ability to sell services like branding, website design, marketing strategy, or digital fundraising.
  • Excellent communication skills and a refined, thoughtful approach to outreach.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit audiences and how they select agency partners.
  • Experience managing or contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (like HubSpot) and outbound sequencers (Apollo, Instantly, etc.).
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and aligned with our aesthetic and strategic values.

Compensation

This is a contract-to-hire role with competitive hourly pay and performance-based incentives:
  • $40–$60/hour, based on experience
  • 5 - 5% commission on closed new business
  • sourced by the SDR
  • Optional quarterly bonuses for revenue goals or strategic client wins
    Why Work With Us?
  • Help build the business development function from the ground up in collaboration with the founder.
  • Work with purpose—our clients are changemakers, artists, educators, and advocates.
  • Collaborate with a creative, detail-oriented studio that values quality over volume.
  • Flexible, remote-first culture with a Brooklyn HQ.

Opportunity to grow into a full-time business development or partnerships leadership role.
