POSITION SUMMARY – Remote Trauma Registrar - Part Time
POSITION DUTIES – Abstracting
- MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS –
- High school degree (or equivalent)
- 2+ years’ experience as a Trauma Registrar/Abstractor
- 2+ years of experience with Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers
- 1 year in Health Information Management
- ICD 10 data abstractor system experience
- AIS 15 Course
- Trauma Registry Course
- EMR/Registries in DI or CDM (trauma)
- Meditech Expanse or Epic or Cerner EMR experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – Coding or Health Registry abstraction experience; Certified in CSTR or CAISS; Undergraduate (Associates or Bachelor) degree or successful completion of a certified coding program; RHIA, RHIT, CSS, LVN or RN
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT – 6 months
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK – Part Time (Flexible on the time of day they work, as long as it is 20 hours per week)
SYSTEMS – Meditech Expanse / Epic / Cerner
START DATE – ASAP
