Corporate Communications Strategist (Crisis Focused)

We are partnering with our FinTech SaaS client to recruit a Corporate Communications Manager focused on Crisis Management to joint their team on a long-term, fully remote basis working on a PST schedule. You will join the team as a subject matter expert in Crisis Communications and Issues Management strategy, and will be responsible for developing new systems for identifying, tracking and addressing organization and reputational risks. You will build strategic communications plans, serve as a subject-matter expert on crisis communications on both a strategic and situational basis, and will consult with senior leadership on long-term strategy to avoid or handle similar situations in the future. To be a fit, you should bring a senior level PR and communications background, with 8+ years of experience, ideally working in-house for teams in the SaaS world. Strong expertise in crisis and issues management, strategic communications planning and spokesperson work is required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading team! This is a long-term, W2, full-time contract role, set to be fully remote working on a PST schedule, with preference given to candidates living in this time zone. This role is set to be 12+ months. Pay ranges from $58 to $63 an hour, depending on relevant experience. As an LHH contractor, you will be a W2 employee and will have access to medical, dental, vision and 401(K) benefits, paid sick time based on your state of residence, and access to our team during your contract.

    You will:
  • Build strategic communications plans, serve as a subject-matter expert on crisis communications on both a strategic and situational basis
  • Develop new systems for identifying, tracking and addressing organization and reputational risks
  • Liaise closely with senior leadership and relevant cross-functional teams across the organization to address crises or issues as they arise, including significant work with Legal, Compliance and HR teams
  • Partner with media, regulatory, customer and employee contacts to address issues and crises, drafting responses, statements and other external communications
  • Review and monitor current and ongoing discourse, media coverage, regulatory rules, etc. to identify and craft strategy for emerging issues that may impact the organization
    Your experience should include:
  • 8+ years of senior-l3evel, strategic communications experience with a deep well of knowledge in crisis and issues management
  • In-depth experience working closely with senior leaders, executives and cross-functional teams like Legal, HR and Compliance to align communications strategy
  • In-depth experience working with media contacts and regulatory bodies as a spokesperson
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, additional education preferred
  • Experience working in SaaS, FinTech or financial organizations, highly preferred
