Part-Time Strategic Operator (EdTech / Partnerships / Executive Follow-Up)
I'm the founder of an early-stage edtech startup working with district leaders, publishing partners, and education CEOs. We're a small team moving quickly, and I'm looking for a sharp, reliable operator to help me turn AI-generated meeting notes into warm, thoughtful follow-up emails, manage a lightweight relationship pipeline, and ensure no high-leverage conversation slips through the cracks.
This is not a generic VA or admin role. I need someone who can write in my voice, understands power dynamics (e.g., how to talk to a superintendent vs. a CEO), and is proactive in driving next steps without needing to be micromanaged.
Responsibilities
Read AI-generated summaries from meetings (Google Docs, Supernormal, or similar)
Draft personalized follow-up emails with clarity, warmth, and professionalism
Propose next steps or attachments (I’ll review/approve)
Track and organize outreach (Google Sheets, Notion, or lightweight CRM)
Follow up again if no reply — and suggest how to re-engage
Occasionally help draft cold outreach emails based on templates
✅ You are
A strong writer who can quickly learn and adapt to my tone and voice
Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders (district leaders, CEOs, publishers)
Detail-oriented and self-managed — you’ll run the process, not wait to be told
Comfortable working in an early-stage startup: flexible, resourceful, and unafraid of ambiguity
Familiar with professional communication norms in North America
Bonus: experience in education, publishing, or edtech
Bonus: experience as a chief of staff, partnerships coordinator, or BD/sales support
⏱ Scope
5–10 hours/week to start
Short-term paid pilot (2–4 weeks), with potential for longer-term engagement
Flexible schedule — async is fine, just be responsive within 24–48 hours
If you're someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing meaningfully to a mission-driven early-stage company, you’ll thrive here.
